At Grassroots Foundation, learning is not limited to books and lessons, it’s about giving children opportunities to explore their creativity, confidence, and imagination in new and exciting ways.
To celebrate that spirit, we recently organized a Creative Day at our school, where students took part in a unique fancy dress competition with a twist ; every outfit was made entirely out of newspapers!
The event turned our school into a colorful celebration of creativity. Students arrived dressed in beautifully crafted newspaper gowns, sarees, superhero capes, coats, hats, and even accessories all made with their own hands and a little help from teachers. It was heartwarming to see how proudly they showcased their creations on stage, walking with confidence and smiles that lit up the entire hall.
What made the day even more special was the message behind the fun i.e, creativity, sustainability, and confidence. The activity encouraged our students to think innovatively, reuse everyday materials, and understand that fashion doesn’t always come from expensive clothes, but from imagination and effort.
Parents and teachers cheered as each participant came forward, showing not just their outfits but their talent, personality, and teamwork. The event ended with laughter, applause, and a renewed sense of how joyful learning can be when children are given space to express themselves.
At Grassroots Foundation, we take pride in creating moments like these where education meets creativity, and every child feels seen, celebrated, and inspired to dream big.
