At Grassroots Foundation, we believe that education is not confined to textbooks and classrooms, it’s about exposing children to real-world experiences that inspire, motivate, and shape their personalities. True learning happens when students step outside the four walls of a classroom and witness teamwork, discipline, and passion in action.

Recently, our students had an incredible opportunity to attend a live rugby match at the Andheri Sports Complex, in collaboration with The Right Pitch. For many of our children, this was their first-ever visit to a stadium and the excitement was palpable from the moment they boarded the bus. The cheers of the crowd, the energy of the players, and the vibrant atmosphere made it a day they will never forget.

As the match began, our students were fascinated by how rugby players supported one another on the field. They saw firsthand the power of teamwork, coordination, respect, and perseverance, values we emphasize through our education programs every day. Watching the athletes play through challenges and celebrate every small victory taught them important lessons about sportsmanship, resilience, and unity.

Beyond the thrill of the game, this outing helped boost our students’ confidence and curiosity. Many of them expressed how they wanted to learn more about sports and physical fitness after the visit. It also gave them a sense of belonging to be part of something bigger, to see possibilities beyond their daily environment, and to dream a little bigger.
